Tip of the Week: Don't forget to mix it up so you don't get bitter.
Writing is hard work. A lot of folks can read, but not near as many can write things worth reading. Sometimes bloggers get bitter, and after years of providing great information for their readers on love, life, music, entertainment, money, business, local news, food, products, or crafts, they give up - exhausted, unhappy, and feeling under appreciated. Some of that comes from new bloggers not knowing what you are in for when they say, "Hey everybody - I have a blog! Check me out!" Today, we'll talk about one of the most talked about and least understood aspects of blogging - writing credit...
What is writing credit? There are three types for the purposes of this post.
Writing credit: (1) Having your name listed as an author or contributor to a written work. (2) Paying for writing after it is complete with $10 gift cards, lip balm, key chains, and coupons. (3) Accepting hope as payment for writing (Hoping that doing that blog post for that company will get you more than $10 gift cards, lip balm, key chains, and coupons).
